CFE's 2015 Annual Scholarship Opportunity
CFE supports education, and there can be no greater investment in your future than obtaining a college degree. Each year CFE awards six scholarships worth a total of $4,000 each to six lucky graduating high school seniors who are CFE members or dependents of CFE members. The scholarships are renewable annually, for up to three consecutive years. Recipients will be selected at random in a drawing. The winning scholarship recipients will be notified by June 30.

Scholarship Program Details
Six scholarships of $1,000 each (annually renewable up to three consecutive years, for a total of $4,000 per recipient) will be awarded to selected eligible members of CFE Federal Credit Union, or dependents of members. Four scholarships will be awarded to members or dependents whose permanent address is in one of the four counties served by CFE (one each from Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Lake Counties). Two scholarships will be awarded to the membership at large, i.e. selected from all applications received regardless of permanent address.
Scholarships may be applied for by graduating high school seniors planning to enroll/enrolled full-time (at least 12 credit hours) during the current year in one of the following: an accredited two-year degree program; an accredited two-year program leading to a four-year undergraduate degree; an accredited four-year institution (undergraduate program); or a full-time job preparatory program at an accredited trade or technical school. First year scholarship winners must provide proof of full-time enrollment (official schedule issued by the institution) for the coming year. For scholarship renewals, proof of completion from previous year as a full-time student (official transcript issued by the institution) as well as proof of full-time enrollment for the coming year must be provided. Failure to submit a complete application by the stated deadline will result in elimintation from the lottery drawing(s). The credit union is under no obligation to contact applicants regarding missing information. CFE FCU employees, officials, families of employees and families of officials are not eligible. All decisions made by CFE FCU will be final. One application per person allowed.
Selection and Disbursement
The six scholarship recipients will be selected by lottery. Recipients will be notified by phone and asked to respond within a specified period of time. A scholarship recipient must respond to the written communication by the deadline stated within that communication. A joint check will be issued (made payable to both the recipient and the institution) and mailed directly to the institution.
Applications can be mailed to the Public Relations Department at CFE (1000 Primera Blvd., Lake Mary, FL 32746) or dropped off at any CFE branch location. The public relations department must be in receipt of all applications no later than May 31, 2015. Scholarship recipients will be notified no later than June 30, 2015.
